Refreshing Christmas Punch Recipe

Your Christmas gathering is definitely incomplete without a glass of refreshing Christmas punch for everyone. Everybody loves it because it is the only refreshing drink that carries the Christmas holiday vibe with it. I make mine with cranberry juice, orange juice, pineapple juice, and sparkling ginger ale and it ends up having a delicious balance of sweet and tangy flavors. Fresh cranberries, orange slices, and rosemary add a beautiful Christmas touch.

Among all my previously shared recipes, this Christmas punch recipe is probably the easiest and fastest to make, it takes under 10 minutes to go from an empty glass to a fizzy one filled with a drink you can’t wait to start gulping.

I would keep this intro short so you too can dive straight into the steps of making the drink that everyone loves for Christmas.

Equipment

  • Large punch bowl or beverage dispenser
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting board
  • Long mixing spoon
  • Ladle
  • Serving glasses

Ingredients

  • 4 cups cranberry juice
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 3 cups ginger ale chilled
  • 1 cup sparkling water chilled
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 orange thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons honey or simple syrup optional
  • 3 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 2 cups ice cubes

Instructions

Prepare the fruit:

  • Wash the cranberries and orange thoroughly. Slice the orange into thin rounds and set aside a few cranberries and rosemary sprigs for decoration.

Combine the juices:

  • Pour the cranberry juice, orange juice, and pineapple juice into a large punch bowl or beverage dispenser.

Add the lime juice:

  • Stir in the fresh lime juice. If you prefer a sweeter Christmas Punch, add honey or simple syrup and mix until dissolved.

Add the sparkling ingredients:

  • Slowly pour in the chilled ginger ale and sparkling water. Stir gently to combine without losing too much carbonation.

Add the fruit and herbs:

  • Add the orange slices, fresh cranberries, and rosemary sprigs to the punch.

Add ice:

  • Stir in the ice cubes just before serving to keep the punch refreshingly cold.

Serve:

  • Ladle the Christmas Punch into individual glasses. Garnish with an orange slice, a few cranberries, and a small rosemary sprig.

Notes

Storage Instructions

You can store your leftover Christmas Punch in a covered pitcher or airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Though the fruit juices will keep their flavor, but the ginger ale and sparkling water will gradually lose their fizz.
For the best taste and texture, I'll recommend you add fresh sparkling ingredients only when you're ready to serve.
